STAKING YOUR BTC ON BABYLON
Staking BTC on Babylon allows you to earn rewards by locking your native Bitcoin to help secure Proof-of-Stake blockchains—without wrapping or bridging it. Your BTC stays in your wallet while Babylon uses cryptographic techniques to ensure it's locked and contributing to network security. It's a non-custodial, secure way to put your Bitcoin to work.

How to stake your BTC on Babylon Genesis
Whether you prefer written guidance or just want to take your time, we've got you covered. Review the steps below an easy staking experience.
Let's start by going to https://btcstaking.babylonlabs.io/ and 'connect' our wallets
We need to read and accept the terms by checking the boxes and then click 'Next'
Let's begin by selecting our Bitcoin Wallet first
We are using an OKX wallet in this tutorial
Click 'Connect' on your wallet pop-up
Select the option you prefer to manage your BTC inscriptions, and then 'Save'
You can see that our Bitcoin wallet is connected. Now we will repeat the steps to connect our Babylon Chain wallet
We are using the Keplr Wallet
Now that both wallets are connected, you can click 'Done'
Scroll down to 'Step 1' and select your favourite finality provider, Staking4All, by typing the name and selecting it
Type the amount of BTC you would like to stake, remember to keep some to cover fees, then click 'Preview'
Check that all the details are correct, then 'Proceed to Signing'
There are 4 steps that you will need to 'Confirm'. You will notice that the first 3 confirmations will be from your Bitcoin wallet and the final confirmation will ask for approval from your Babylon Chain wallet.
Wait a few moments for the staking registration to be confirmed
Once it is verified we can select 'Stake BTC'
'Confirm' on the wallet pop-up
Congratulations! You are done with your Bitcoin staking
You can see the status of your stake under 'Activity'. We have to wait a while for our stake to be confirmed after 30 BTC confirmations on the blockchain
Once our stake is active, you will see that we have already started earning BABY rewards from our stake
